Talking Santa is a basic app that lets users with their family and friends a Merry Christmas via the big guy himself. It available for both iPhone and Android users and works on the web too. The only requirement for web users is that they must have Windows 10 to use it.

One nice feature of this app is that it doesn't require any guesswork when it comes to how you can use it. An image of Santa himself will appear on your screen. Dressed in his classic red suit with white accents, he comes with a large bag of gifts. You can move Santa around on the screen and put him into different situations to take photos of him.

Most of the situations are safe for kids of all ages. They can have fun as they group him together with wild animals and elves. Kids will also like arranging the Christmas gifts he has to create the perfect setup. You even have the chance to place him in a chair and have your favorite animals sit right on his lap as if they're about to pass along their wish lists.

As soon as you achieve an image that you like, you can hit the screen capture button on the screen to save it. This makes it easy to create fun e-cards that you send out rather than traditional holiday cards. You can also have Santa talk and create videos that you share with others. Anything you sell Santa to say, he'll say it. You can easily create custom cards for kids that feature Santa talking directly to them. The app gives you the choice between saving traditional postcards and moving videos.

A common issue that some parents might have with this app is that it allows users to put Santa is some less than suitable situations. The animals that look so cute in the app can actually knock Santa around. Some of the same images show those animals laughing at him behind his back and making him trip and fall down. Parents may not want to give younger users complete freedom when using this app. It also comes with an animated GIF that shows Santa dropping his pants. While that GIF will appeal to some adults, it's not really appropriate for kids.

Though Talking Santa might not be the best choice for the youngest of kids, it's a fun little app that you can use around the holidays. It can feel repetitive because the app doesn't let you do everything you want, but many users like that Talking Santa lets them create their own holiday videos and images.
